SEA FISHING EXPERIENCE OF PROFESSIONAL ANGLERS

Compared to freshwater fish, sea fish are much more species and quantity, sea fish are more greedy. The speed and power of catching are so great that sea fishing is considered a thrilling sport. Currently, the sea fishing movement is more exciting than ever. Many people prefer to go offshore fishing to enjoy the ultimate feeling of ocean fishing.
However, if you go for the first time, with little experience, the players will face many difficulties. We would like to introduce some “tips” distilled from the experience of both local and international players, which will be very helpful, especially for new entrants.
If you choose a live bait, use fresh fish, preferably live fish as bait, for great results. Live squid is a very effective bait. Check the bait regularly, every 10-15 minutes to make sure the bait is still alive.
When fishing with sharp teeth like barracuda, Mackerel … use wire leader. To avoid twisting, tie a rotating ring at the end of the shaft. Always check the first few meters of fishing line after each catch. If the string breaks, cut it off.
In addition, depending on the purpose of use, you can also buy coiled leader wire to do it in different lengths.
Check the brakes on the rowing machine before pulling the string. If the brake is too tight, it will cut the line when the fish is hooked and run away. If too loose, there is a risk of “escaping” from losing the fish. Make sure the winch of the fishing line is in the right state so that the string flows out easily and smoothly.
Before Going To Sea
Go to a professional fishing tackle shop to buy essential fishing items such as real bait (fish, squid …) and fake lures, strings and hooks.
  • Take anti-motion sickness pills 30 minutes – 60 minutes before boarding a fishing boat and drink regularly every 6 hours for the next times.
  • If you feel sunstroke, you should go to the cabin to rest and mix 1 tablet of Hydrite to compensate for salt.
  • Use the lowest possible lead weight to fish the bottom.
  • Choose the smallest leader wire or “invisible” fluorocarbon leader to catch mischievous fish.
  • Always wear polarized sunglasses to protect eyes.
  • Listen and follow the advice of the captain, who is very experienced in fishing as well as fish.
  • Make fishing cards available at home or onboard before fishing. When the fish eat, there will be no time to prepare a fishing line.
  • The best time to fish is 1/2 to 2 hours after ebb and flood.
  • Fishing in the early morning and late afternoon is most effective, often less active in the sun.
When you see a flock of birds flying around a point and head into the water, it is a sign that the young fish are hunted by predators. This is a good time to fish by throwing, real or fake bait, to that point.
