THE STEPS OF FISHING YOU MAY NOT KNOW
1. Tying the hook on the fishing line
In the case of artificial fly fishing, tying knots the right way is part of the game. However, new players need to learn how to tie a simple clinch button to get a head start. Here’s how to tie the clinch:
2. Attach heavy objects and fishing floats
If fishing in places where the water is moving quickly, such as in a river or stream, it is best to attach a heavy object (lead net) to the line and about 30 cm from the bait. This way, the bait will be kept on the water for one to several centimeters — right where the fish are likely to hunt.
For new anglers, the big fishing floats visible from the shore will help you fish more easily. The anglers will know that the fish is pulling prey when the fishing rod is pulled hard and disappears under the water. However, you only need to tie enough fishing lines (net lead) to balance with the size of the fishing float to easily observe when the fish bite.
3. Hook the bait to the hook
In general, depending on the type of bait used, you need to hook the bait into the hook as many times as possible to keep the bait firmly attached to the hook. Hold the hook firmly with your hand, then hook 1/3 of the prey from the tail and push it straight up to the hook. Bend the bait toward the hook and hook through 1/2 the bait again. You should hook at least two or three similar rings.
It’s undeniable that hooking a worm through the hook three times is a bit gruesome, but you need to make sure the worm is stuck on the hook and can’t escape when tossing the rod.
4. Toss the fishing line
Most new anglers will toss the rope at arm’s arm in the same motion as throwing a pebble over the water. Move the fishing rod aside and aim for the direction you want to toss the rod, then release the fishing line in the correct direction.
The release of the line depends somewhat on the type of fishing line you are using, but things will be simpler if you own a fishing line with a control button. When the button is pressed, the line will flow, and when the button is released, the line will stop. When you toss the lever, press the button and when in orientation, let go of the button.
